When booking a photoshoot for the first time, the idea of a stranger coming into your home and personal life can be a bit daunting for some. What do they look like? Are they easy to get on with? Are they going to make me feel uncomfortable?
Well there's no need to feel uneasy, because I found some random questions to answer so you'll feel like you already know me before we meet!
1. What is your favorite thing about your career?
Without a doubt, it's the variety. One day I could be photographing at a massive horse show with some of the most talented riders all around me, and the next I could be cuddling sweet little puppies and fighting to keep them still for a portrait. The people I meet, and the travelling from one exciting place to the next is what keeps me always looking forward to each day.
2. What is your biggest complaint about your job?
Weather. I spend so much time photographing outdoors in wind, sunshine and rain. I've lost track of the amount of times I've been soaked through to the skin or been so cold that I can no longer feel the buttons I'm pressing on my camera.
3. If there was a fire, what one thing would you go back for?
My dog, without a shadow of a doubt. He's my best friend, and I would be very sad without him. My cameras can always be replaced!
4. What’s on your bucket list this year?
To have a go at more cross-country. I jumped my first ever cross-country fence only last year, and I've definitely got the bug!
5. What do you listen to in the car whilst travelling between jobs?
It depends what I'm in the mood for. At the moment, I'm all for listening to audio books as I find I no longer have the time to read. If it's music, then I'll be listening to Daughter on repeat.
6. What do you do when you're not working?
I have more hobbies than I can keep up with sometimes, but my top three will always be horse riding, training my dog, and running.
7. What job would you be terrible at?
Anything that involves sitting in an office. I love the variety I get from my job, and I am definitely more of an outdoor person.
8. What is the weirdest thing about you?
I have always been so fascinated by bugs since I was a little girl. At home, I have quite a big collection of praying mantis that I raise and breed, much to the disgust of my partner.
9. What’s Your Favorite Season?
Spring is my favourite time of year! I love seeing everything wake up after winter, and the first feeling of the warm sun on my face.
10. If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
I would saddle up and ride as far as I could go. Oh, and take a delicious picnic filled with goodies, of course!
